Perryton Independent School District

The Perryton ISD Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on March 24^th, 2025. President Wes Beal began the meeting by opening a diesel bid from Fronk Oil, the only bid submitted. The bid was voted on and accepted 7-0.

Mr. Brown continued the meeting by telling the Board that Wright teachers and students are using some of the new classrooms and are enjoying them. He also recognized students from around the district for recent accomplishments. These students included art, golf, livestock shows, as well as the Ranger Soccer team and PHS Powerlifting teams who were in attendance. He accepted the resignations of the following: Ciara Anderson, Kaci Schwalk, Kelsie Dorman, Karli Cromeans and Cindy Boxwell. During director’s reports, Dent Felix updated the Board that one of the new buses purchase should be in Perryton within the next couple of weeks. The Board went into Executive Session.

Following Executive Session, the board unanimously approved the following: minutes from prior meetings held on February 24^th and March 17^th, the hiring of Areisy Jaquez as a teacher, the construction plans and budget for Phase 2 at Wright, as well as contracts for the central admin office, SSA, Kinder, Wright, Williams, Perryton Junior High sans Brooke Hale, Perryton High School, and LPMAEC. The contract of Brooke Hale was approved 6-0-1, Bryce Hale abstaining. The construction on the Wright playground should begin at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year.

The monthly meeting of the board is scheduled for April 28^th, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Equity Exchange, 4219 S. Main.  A special meeting is scheduled for April 14^th, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the PISD Admin Building.
