February 2025 Board Report

The Perryton ISD Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on Monday, February 24^th, 2025 in the PISD Administration Building. Mr. Wes Beal opened the meeting with an invocation.

Mr. Brown began his report, stating that videos of the renovations were available on the PISD website and progress was going well. He also recognized students for recent achievements in choir, powerlifting, stock show, ag mechanic contests, welding, and staff recognitions. Brown announced the resignation of Luz Garcia and a failed intruder detection audit at Perryton Kinder.

Following Executive Session, the following were approved unanimously: minutes from the January 20th and February 3^rd meetings, the 2025-2026 school year calendar, the updated local policies, the Region 16 EDNET Fiber Consortium, the hiring of Landry Teran, non-chapter 21 administrator contracts, and chapter 21 administrator contracts. There were no diesel bids presented. The extension of the depository contract was approved, 5-0-1, Hale abstaining. The 5% administrator raise was also approved, 5-1, Beyea opposing.

The next monthly meeting of the board will be Monday, March 24^th, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the Perryton ISD Business Office Board Room located at 821 SW 17^th Ave.
