Ranger Powerlifting - 3 World Champs!

Three Perryton Ranger Powerlifters traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, to compete in the World Championships.

All three, Saleen Nyman, Christian Laja, and Alejandra Salas, are coming home with Gold Medals!  According to PHS Powerlifting Coach Casey Arruda, Nyman didn't have her best day, but it was still enough to bring home gold in the squat, bench, deadlift, and total competitions.

Laja took gold in the squat, deadlift, and total competitions and is in the running for best overall.  The last to compete was Salas, and she earned her gold medals in the squat, bench, and total.

Coach Arruda said, "All three of our kiddos made the long journey overseas and will all be coming home World Champions.  I'm beyond proud of each of them.  Thank you to everyone who has supported them!!" Congratulations to all of them and their coach for making their hometown proud!
